Dubai Paid Parking Timings Announced For Ramadan

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced adjustments to paid parking schedules to accommodate residents and visitors during this special time. These changes aim to provide greater flexibility and convenience for all.

Revised Paid Parking Hours

Starting from the first day of Ramadan, paid parking zones across Dubai will operate in two shifts from Monday to Saturday:

Monday to Saturday:

  • First Shift: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Second Shift: 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Free Parking Times:

  • Between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
  • Sundays remain completely free all day, as usual.

This schedule introduces a two-hour free parking period between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, allowing motorists a grace period during Iftar. Parking remains free on Sundays. Please note that multi-level parking facilities will continue to operate 24 hours a day, with standard parking fees applicable.

Public Transport Adjustments

In addition to parking modifications, the RTA has also revised public transportation schedules to better serve commuters during Ramadan:

  • Dubai Metro: Operating hours for both the Red and Green Lines are as follows:
    • Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 5:00 AM to 12:00 AM
    • Friday: 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM (next day)
    • Sunday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM
  • Dubai Tram: The tram services will run:
    • Monday to Saturday: 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM (next day)
    • Sunday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM (next day)

These adjustments ensure that public transport aligns with the altered schedules of residents during the holy month.

Conclusion

The RTA's proactive measures during Ramadan reflect a commitment to enhancing the convenience and comfort of Dubai's residents and visitors. By staying informed about these changes, everyone can navigate the city more effectively during this period. Wishing all a blessed and peaceful Ramadan.
